HHCI breaks ground on New SoCal Gas Bakersfield Facility
SoCal Gas has selected Hal Hays Construction Inc, (HHCI) as the General Contractor to build the new 31,370 square-foot regional base facility in Bakersfield. The new facility will serve thousands of homes and business that use natural gas in Kern County. The facility will also include a compressed natural gas (CNG) station for company and public use.
HHCI will develop a 10.33-acre site that will become the SoCal Gas Regional Epicenter. The work will be comprised of:
- Site grading, paving, drainage systems and modifications to fill soils
- Office and Training Building of approximately 31,370
- Storage Building for Logistic of approximately 9,000
- Repair Garage and fueling stations of approximately 3,800
- Site storage facilities
- Parking for employees and company
- Perimeter fencing

The City of Palm Springs awarded Hal Hays Construction, Inc. (HHCI) a $3,381,830 contract for the Police Department Remodel Project. The work comprises of a complete remodel and renovation of the Police Department Training Center (including Library), Lobby and Records Department and the Detective Bureau Department. Hal Hays Construction Inc., demonstrated compliance with the City’s Local Business Preference by identifying local sub-contractors who will perform 14% of the total contract. .
The Fresno Army Reserve Center team has achieved a major accomplishment on their project. The team has now delivered over 50,000 accumulated man hours on site 100% accident-free. Not even a first aid incident!
in Fresno, CA. This $25.4M project includes a Training Building (47,650 SF), Maintenance Building (14,500 SF), and a Storage Building (2,700 SF).
The US Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC)-Southwest awarded Hal Hays Construction, Inc. (HHCI) a 5 year, $99M contract for building/structure demolition and site preparation, including utility capping, paving, and landscaping. Work will be performed at NAVFAC Southwest installations in California; Arizona; Nevada; Utah; Colorado; and New Mexico. Future task orders on the contract will be valued from $100,000 to $10,000,000.
