HHCI Completes MCB Camp Pendleton Wastewater System Design


Riverside, CA – October 15, 2013 – Hal Hays Construction, Inc. (HHCI) completed final design of the “Design Build Repair Taps 1, 2 and 3 Wastewater System” project at MCB Camp Pendleton, CA for the Department for the Navy. HHCI will now begin the project’s build phase and mobilize for construction operations.

department of navyThe new design eliminated potential wastewater overflow spills at TAPS 1, 2, and 3 during emergency overflow events, by converting the existing secondary clarifiers into emergency wastewater overflow storage tanks. Additionally, the design prevents unauthorized discharges and ensures each system’s compliance with the Clean Water Act, Environmental Protection Agency’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), and Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) requirements.
