HHCI Awards 8th Annual Wayne B. Hays Scholarships


Riverside, CA – January 14, 2014 – Hal Hays Construction, Inc. (HHCI) has selected four recipients for its 8th Annual Wayne B. Hays Scholarship Program. The 2013 Wayne B. Hays Scholarship awardees were announced at HHCI’s Annual Christmas Party. Scholarship receipts include HHCI employees and family members in pursuit of academic advancement and higher education.

HHCILogo150Established in 2006 in honor of HHCI’s founder’s father, Mr. Wayne B. Hays, the scholarship program has proudly contributed to career development and higher educational goals of 22 HHCI team members and family members. The 2013 Wayne B. Hays Scholarship awardees include the following deserving individuals:

 

  • Cassandra Spicer – Student at Northern Arizona University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration degree, and mother to a 4 year-old son
  • Brittney Smerber – Student at the University of Washington studying molecular and cellular biology, with a goal of becoming a surgeon in the U.S. Army
  • Haley Bogers – Student at Cal Baptist University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree, working towards becoming a veterinarian
  • Travis Root – High-school senior student in pursuit of higher education upon graduation, and achievement of a kinesiology degree
