Riverside, CA – February 26, 2016 – On Saturday, February 20th, in keeping with HHCI’s social responsibility commitment, the HHCI team and partners provided Sherman Indian High School students with a Saturday Construction Workshop, where the  students worked side-by-side with HHCI’s team of experts to learn and experience various construction skills, all in a safe environment.

Highlights of the Saturday Construction Workshop included:picture6

<>  Over 100 participants, including 40 HHCI employees and their families, 60 students, and representatives from Southern California Edison.

<>  A day-long project involving painting instruction and beautification of Ramona Dormitory, one of the largest buildings on campus, resulting in 20,000 SF of beautifully finished exterior wall surfaces.

<>  Notable sponsors, including Home Depot, Dunn Edwards, and Chick-Fil-A, who graciously donated plenty of supplies, paint, and food.

Great job to Crystal Hays and Jonathan Allen for organizing this outstanding event and engaging leading industry sponsors for donations. And a big thank you to all our volunteers from HHCI, Edison, and the Sherman Indian High School! Our team looks forward to additional campus beautification projects and the opportunity to engage with our Native American youth and contribute to their learning and skill development!
