HHCI Nears the Completion of Eagle Canyon Debris Basin

Riverside, CA – August 05, 2014 – HHCI is nearing the completion of the Eagle Canyon Debris Basin located in Cathedral City, California, in an area prone to heavy flood damage. Although the debris basin is not yet complete, Robert Cullen, Chief of Design and Construction Division for the Riverside County Flood Control & Water Conservation District stated that “the debris basin is completely functional and essentially we have 100 year protection right now.”

The Eagle Canyon Debris Basin, an 85-foot structure, is capable of retaining up to 185-acre feet of water and 14-acre feet of debris. It can also handle an inflow of water equal to 50-swimming pools every minute.

HHCI is proud to be a key partner with the County of Riverside Flood Control & Water Conservation District on this important project.
