Fresno Wastewater Treatment Plant Odor Control

HHCI served as a prime contractor to the City of Fresno Pubic Utilities Department to construct the Fresno Wastewater Treatment Expansion project in Fresno, CA. Work required replacement of the headwork’s existing three Odor Control Units (OCUs) and interconnecting transfer piping and structures. For the treatment process system upgrade, HHCI tied into these 5 lines: (1) Foul Air Ducting, (2) Reclaimed Water (3W), (3) Potable Water (1W), (4) Plant Drains, and (5) Storm Drains.

The new Odor Control Facilities – which included bio-trickling filter system, carbon filter system, fans, electrical building, ducting, and interconnecting piping – were functionally tested prior to the removal of the existing OCU 1, OCU2, and OCU3 equipment.
