FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 1, 2010 Hal Hays Construction Donates Over 100 Pairs of Shoes to Help Earthquake Victims in HaitiRiverside, California-February 1, 2010-The employees of Hal Hays Construction, Inc. (HHCI), donated over 100 pairs of shoes last week to the Soles4Souls program to aid the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Employees from all five area offices were invited to bring in gently worn shoes for men, women, and children so that they could be delivered to the local donation site. Once the word went out to the employees, boxes and bags of shoes came pouring into the corporate office. "We love to help those in need", said Denise Hays, Executive Vice President of HHCI, "Our employees have big hearts and they like to help out in a big way." Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and closets of everyday people. The charity distributes the shoes free of charge to people in need, regardless of race, religion, class or any other criteria. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away over 5.5 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes (currently donating one pair every nine seconds). The shoes have been distributed to people in over 125 countries, including Kenya, Thailand, Nepal, the United States, and now Haiti. _______________________________ HAL HAYS CONSTRUCTION, INC.
